Working With Others
This program builds your ability to work with others in ways that elevate the
success of all in solving a problem or realizing an opportunity. It teaches
skills in the context of applying them to accomplish an actual business purpose
(e.g., elevate employee involvement, heighten customer focus, reduce cost or
improve quality in a work process, identify new market opportunities). The skills
it teaches enable you to understand the ideas and information others are sharing
and express your own ideas in ways that keep group members connected and moving
toward their common goal. The Working With Others skills are clarifying and
confirming, which help you build an accurate picture of what another person
is sharing; and constructive criticism and hitchhiking, which allow you to add
your ideas in a way that builds better solutions while maintaining positive
relationships. The program is structured to allow participants to address a
problem or opportunity specific to their common interests.
